Optomatica was founded in 2003 with a
vision of bringing to businesses new analytical tools. Those tools
would help them better understand their competitive environment and
their place in it and find ways to improve their operations.

At Optomatica we are very much technique
agnostic, unlike companies that advocate a particular approach to
learning or optimization (e.g. through Tabu Search, Evolutionary
Algorithms, Neural Networks), we try to understand the client's
problem at hand and apply whatever approach that is most suited
to it. In many situation we combine a number of techniques to solve
the problem efficiently or even invent new ones.
The Founder
Mohammed El-Beltagy has an extensive
experience in applying optimization, machine learning, simulation
modeling, agent based models, to a variety of business and engineering
problems.
Prior to founding Optomatica, Mohammed was a
Senior Scientist at BiosGroup, Inc.
Mohammed has Bachelor's degree in Mechanical
engineering design from the American University in Cairo, a Master's
degree in Mechatronics from Lancaster University, and a PhD in
Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southampton, England.
